Happy with this monitor
Impressed with this monitor especially for the price. The picture is very clear and the eco or sleep mode function works really well even with a noise machine on the room. It has 3 different sensitivity levels. The battery life has been great so far too as I remember that being an issue with a different monitor we had 8 years ago.

Stopped charging.
I was so excited for this monitor, the clarity is amazing and it was functioning great.thenlook of the monitor is really nice and we loved it. However after about 2 weeks of use, the monitor will not charge. We’ve tried several different cords as instructed and outlets. The charging port is just broken, not even the indication light will work. I’m sad as this was an expensive purchase, and I did a lot of research. I’ve reached out to the company but it’s been several days and have not heard back. I was hoping to not have to return this defective product and work with the company but not having a monitor for over a week now has been difficult. The company took over a week to even answer an email, I have submitted for return. So disappointed.

So far this monitor has been amazing!! I had one before that stopped working after a few months. This monitor does everything that’s mentioned in the description. I was looking for something that didn’t run on wifi, was quiet when I move the camera, it can even have two cameras on the same monitor and play ocean, bird, or white noise sounds. I really really like it.

I have only used this monitor for 5 months and the monitor will no longer charge; I have tried different adapters to no avail. The adapter to the camera has to be perfectly inserted into the camera output or it’ll not work. The monitor frequently freezes, the sound is delayed by a few seconds and the microphone will pick up noises from across the house.

Uses micro USB charge ports and no tripod mounting
The first thing I noticed is that the charging hardware all uses micro USB. Nowadays where everything is using USB C, I feel that this is a bit of a drawback of this device. Another drawback is the cameras cannot be mounted on a tripod so I need to find a suitable area to place the camera; and typically I need something slightly higher than the crib rails so I can point the camera down to see my baby.With those 2 drawbacks aside, this monitor overall is pretty good It comes with dual cameras where I can place one where my baby sleeps, and the other where he plays. I can monitor him easily while I do other tasks. Switching between cameras is a single button, however, you can also have split screen to keep an eye on both cameras at the same time. But, the sound only comes from the selected camera so you cannot pick up sound from both cameras at the same time, So if you plan on using this for 2 children in different rooms, you may want to keep this in mind.The description advertises a 22 hour battery life, but I was only able to get 9 hours. I had the screen turned on at medium brightness. So perhaps the manufacturer based their number on a screen that wasturned off but the monitor was still actively monitoring sounds. The range is not too bad as I did not lose reception while I was in the basement and the camera was on the 2nd floor of my house. This camera does not come with an extendable antenna so in some areas where wifi devices and computers are active, I did get a bit of interference. By comparison, another monitor with an extendable antenna was able to mitigate the radio noises much better.The display and camera quality are top notch. This is one of the most clear and crisp video monitors I have seen. Night vision is your typical infrared and displays in black and white, and the quality is still top notch as I can see my baby sleeping very clearly and the video movements are very smooth. Pan and tilt functions are a bit jittery while moving the camera but it didn’t really affect me from pointing the camera where I want to.This set comes with a travel case which fits the 2 cameras, monitor screen, the power cords and chargers. I find this very convenient as I travel quite often and this is a great case to keep the monitor items all in one package.This camera system is fully compatible with other Levana products so you can mix and match cameras such as pairing another one of their cameras or using another monitor and pairing a camera from this set.Overall, I am impressed with this camera system. I can live with the outdated micro USB plug and not being able to mount it on a tripod. I think those are minor drawbacks and generally do not affect the function of the entire system.

This won’t be the only camera used in my household, but it is likely to be my go-to travel camera option.Setting up this camera is about as simplistic as they come. With the Wi-Fi-free design you don’t have to worry about connecting to any networks or securing anything. It is worth noting that this camera is designed to function from a flat surface like a table or shelf. It does not include an easy mounting system and I would highly recommend securing it in some way to wherever you plan on having it placed so that it doesn’t get bumped.The image quality is surprisingly good for a camera in this price range. I was very pleased with how clear the view is and how easy it was to watch on the screen. Additionally, I love that I only have to charge the monitor once every two or three days with my usage schedule as opposed to some options that require recharging multiple times a day.My only significant complaint is that the alleged “up to 1000 feet” range is wildly exaggerated. Every single wall that the signal has to pass through greatly diminishes the range. So claiming 1000 feet is only true if you’re in the middle of nowhere, with zero obstructions, walking away from the camera on a flat plane. Keep this in mind if the range is very important to you. It is worth noting that it does work in every room of my home, but my nursery is centrally located.Overall, I would recommend this camera as a great option for live viewing that has an exceptionally easy setup. This is not the camera for someone looking for all the bells and whistles, but it’s a great option for someone on the go or who just needs to keep an eye on things while also keeping an eye on the monitor.

I love this baby monitor! The set up was very straight forward and simple for anyone to do. The picture and sound are very clear, and I love the range of motion the camera offers. I also love that you do not need to hook it up to WIFI or download any apps to use it, which is what makes it un-hackable and who doesn’t want a feature like that nowadays? I also really like the preset music option. This baby monitor offers everything a parent could ask for and is so much more affordable than similar items on the market today, you can’t go wrong!

We are beyond impressed with the Levana Ella Video Monitor. It is a baby monitor, but it can serve much more. The picture is crystal clear, nearly pristine. The sound quality is excellent for the most part (unless the kids are being loud and the toys are making noise, too). I love that the camera monitor rotates, and it does so at a steady pace. The preset sounds and music is a lovely touch. It’s an excellent system worth investing in in!
