Pretty good
This took a little bit longer to install than the 3 minutes it claims in the listing… But it was fairly straightforward. This section cut mount for the screen, I tried mounting it on the windshield, and it fell down twice and then the third time I put it up it has stayed up since then. Once the screen is mounted on a surface, it does have quite a bit of adjustability on angle and direction, because it can be adjusted at several points. The screen itself is removable from the stand pretty easily, so it has the potential to be more portable and versatile.On the back of the screen there are three buttons in a row, one for power and two for adjusting the brightness of the screen. It is very easy to use these buttons and hit the right button right rear, once you remember the order of the buttons.The camera and the screen work the same way as a rear view mirror, reversing the image. This took a little bit of getting used to.The angle of viewing is quite wide, if I put the camera in the middle between the two front seats and pointed at the back seats I would be able to see all three back seats, but I wouldn’t see the windows, so with bigger kids, if they are leaning on the windows then I wouldn’t be able to see all of them.The night vision is very handy and does work quite well, and it’s nice that the night vision automatically turns on, so I don’t have to push a button it just does it all on its own. And it’s so seamless that I couldn’t even tell the difference at first and I had to look closely to know when the night vision was on and when the color was on. That being said, during the day when the color is on the colors tend to look a washed out compared to real life and the screen does look rather grainy in my opinion – I wouldn’t call it high definition. I tried to take pictures of what something looks like in real life compared to the screen, and my phone camera gave everything a blue hue – so that:s from my phone camera, not the backseat camera. The butterfly toy was in strong sunlight, and the colours look the same to me, but when I had it pointed at my kids in the back on a cloudy day, the colours were more faded.Overall, the camera is pretty easy to install and use, and the plug in the cigarette lighter lights up when the camera has power, so it’s easy to tell if the camera has power to it. I wouldn’t rely on this to provide clear details on the screen, but it does provide a wide range of view and a clear general picture, and is so fast with transferring data that it really does just feel like I’m looking into a rear view mirror, and not an electronic screen hooked up to a camera. I know it’s sold for use in cars, but if it came with a wall plug, I would use this in the house, too.

Flexible installation options
This camera and screen are really easy to set up. I was able to get it hooked up and displaying video within 10 minutes. The mounting hardware is pretty flexible and gives good options for where to install it in your car. I’ve opted to clip the screen to one of my vents (older vehicle). The camera has decent quality and works well for peeking at the backset or trunk without needing to crane around behind you.I’m tempted to see if I can connect a backup camera to the screen as a secondary retrofit.

Really easy to install and adjust the angles. I am able to get a decent picture at night but the daytime sun makes the picture washed out in some instances. For the price though I think this is a fantastic car camera though and the value is great

Clear screen!
I have this one & a larger one (one for each car) and while I prefer the bigger screen, I can understand not wanting the 7″ screen as it takes up more of the windshield space. Hubby installed it & had no complaints so it can’t have been that bad. He did a good job of hiding the cords alongside the middle console and I didn’t even notice them til he pointed them out. Picture is incredibly clear. Night vision works great. Camera is small and fits on the headrest. Shows about half of my backseat (in a car) so could probably work for 2 kids if I had one in the middle. Very impressed with the quality.

This camera is easy to use. Installation is simple and straightforward. The camera angle is easy to adjust. The image quality is passable, not amazing, but considering it’s meant to be used while driving I wouldn’t expect ultra super HD. While I do miss the rear passenger being able to see the front seat, this is good for 2 reasons compared to a mirror. I don’t have to turn my head to check on my baby. Secondly, the night vision allows me to see what is going on, even when it is dark.

However, at the time of this review, the price could be decreased to $53.37 by applying an available $5.00 discount coupon.I’ve been using this car camera for about a week now, and while it has some great features, there are a few things to note.The Pros:- Setup was a breeze! The camera strap fits tightly around the headrest, and the monitor mounts securely to the windshield or dash. Once installed, the system feels stable and reliable. The night vision is excellent—clear enough to see my child even in a dark car, which gives me peace of mind on late drives.- The screen size is just right, making it easy to keep an eye on the back seat without being a distraction. It’s also super helpful for longer drives when I want to check in without turning around constantly.The Cons:- The image quality during the day is not as good as I’d hoped. Bright sunlight can wash out the picture, and the graininess makes it hard to see details. Adjusting the brightness mid-drive is not practical, so you’re kind of stuck with what you get.- Also, the wires—there are a lot of them! While I appreciate that I don’t need to keep removing the setup to charge it, the cables are a bit of a hassle to manage neatly.Final Thoughts:This camera is a great budget-friendly option for parents who want to monitor their little ones or even pets in the back seat. It’s easy to install, and the nighttime performance is excellent. However, if crisp daytime video quality is a priority, you might want to consider other options.Would I recommend it? Yes, especially for those who value ease of use and nighttime visibility over high-res daytime footage.
