Excellent clarity, smooth & quiet, finally the perfect camera!
One of my grips with baby cams or any camera is when moving the camera around an area to follow a pet or child, they tend to make a lot of noise, rarely is it a smooth motion, this camera is one of the 1st that I barely heard move. (thank you for that).Grips aside (mostly) , this camera set easily earns 5 stars (deserves more) it covers every single detail I’ve always wanted in a camera, but none had.* The camera records 24/7 to SD card, OR cloud, AMAZING! I find nothing more irritating than getting a notification of movement, only to see 6 seconds and that’s it. Too many times, I get half a story due to a recording stopping early. (yes, I am fluent in navigating settings to adjust detection time accordingly.)* The information this camera provides is fantastic, temperature, humidity, connectivity to Wi-Fi, and course date, time etc. This is important information that would be extra beneficial when on vacation.* I LOVE the monitor, full disclosure, at 1st I thought it was a gimmicky addition and one I might not use, WRONG, it is amazing, the screen lights up and notifies us of movement or sounds with a red icon, It’s nice to put my phone down and not worry if my son wakes up, the monitor is perfectly integrated to sync with the camera flawlessly.* Another reason I put the camera in the window is the location is at the furthest spot from our router. My router is downstairs near our kitchen, the camera is at the far bedroom hanging in the window, upside down to also show the “flipping of the screen” is not hampered in anyway. Connection has always been fantastic, and the monitor can come outside to garden at night, and I can see my son perfectly.Now, I can go on for days as to why this camera, and brand earns its 5 stars, and in my opinion is the best on the market, but I’ll leave you with the above information.Overall, for $159.99 (at time of review) this is a phenomenal deal for this set. I will be looking at other outdoor cameras from ieGeek, and absolutely recommending to family and friends.Easy 5-stars (which I may have mentioned)*pictures show camera mounted using Velcro tabs upside down, works great*(Velcro sold separately)

Nice nursery/nanny cam
I ordered the ieGeek 2K Baby Monitor for our daughter, who is expecting her second child. This will allow her to monitor the nursery from anywhere in the home or from work. The installation of the Android app and setup of the camera were quick and easy. I had no issues connecting the camera to my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera can be viewed and controlled through a handheld controller or a phone app.My four-star review is due to the lack of information about the non-Wi-Fi feature. It would have been helpful to understand the potential for eavesdropping on the signal.The camera, when standing on a table, does not look below the horizon. If the camera is positioned on a surface that is taller than the crib, it must be placed far enough away so that the crib remains in view. The camera image is clear on both the controller and the app. The night vision is also good. The zoom feature is digital, not optical. While the camera and controller can use Micro SD cards, they are not essential to remote viewing. The Micro SD cards are necessary for other features such as taking photos, videos, or changing the background.The silicone rabbit ears are removable, allowing you to repurpose this camera for another use when the child is older, such as moving the camera to a play area. While I don’t see my daughter needing the motion tracking feature for the nursery, it will be helpful if she moves the camera to the playroom. The speaker is useful, and the audio is clear enough. I like the ability to turn on music and my daughter might like the feeding reminder feature.This camera supports the ONVIF protocol, allowing it to integrate with cameras from different manufacturers in the home. The controller has a “Safety Protection” section that allows you to view visitors to the camera with timestamps.

High quality camera, good for watching pets
At the time of writing this review, this baby monitor and camera costs $169.99.I got this camera for two reasons – to watch the pets, primarily, and secondly for when my friends come up to visit with their new born. This is the same one they have, so they appreciate not having to carry theirs around everywhere.I have seen and reviewed quite a few baby monitors and cameras over the years and this is one of the best price to quality ratios I have seen in a long time.The camera looks cute, but it doesn’t stand out too much in a baby’s room. While it might not suit every decor, it doesn’t really look out of place in the living room when we’re using it to watch the pets.The camera quality is really, really good. In the best lighting conditions the videos can look downright cinematic. Images are crisp, clear and bright. Night time videos are good. With minimal light, you can easily see an entire room. Our camera is generally aimed outside and you can see even 15 feet outside the window, which is over 10 feet away.The monitor works anywhere on my property. I can be up stairs, down stairs, in the back yard, in the garage. No matter how many walls or windows between us – it always works. It also works with no lag, stuttering, buffering or freezing. connectivity is very strong with this unit.Viewing over wifi has some degradation and lag, but it’s really not too bad. It’s better than most wifi cameras and door bell cameras.It was super easy to set up. Even technologically weak people would be able to set this up in just a few minutes,Controls are intuitive and easy to use. The camera moves a little fast for my liking, but its easy to get used to the timing and movements.I am very happy with this camera and having the peace of mind to check on the pets when I need to.5/5 stars.
