Good camera for the price
The ability to use the monitor or smartphone app is wonderful. The quality is not the highest but can see the baby, if you really strain and depending on your placement you can see their belly rising and falling with their breath. Lots of features most of which we haven’t touched but love that the temperature is displayed. Wish that the recordings where just a bit longer and that it was easier to save a video.

Not Worth It…
We bought this in October to put in our new baby’s nursery. At first, this unit was absolutely perfect. Great video and sound quality, and easy to set up. We had the occasional connectivity issue (we’d be in our basement and the signal would drop), but for the most part, it was perfect to our needs.Last week, the connectivity dropped again at 3am. And it took me 35 mins to restore it. The next day, another connectivity issue. And the day after. Suffice to say, every day for the last 8 days, we’ve had to reset, unplug, power on/off, pair, and do everything else suggested by the troubleshooting website. Nada. The connectivity is shot. I’m going to attempt to contact the manufacturer and see if there is a warranty, but we are so very disappointed that this product lasted only 7 months before it crapped out. Based on my experiences, I would not recommend this product and, if at all possible, would suggest people go look at a different brand. We will be for our replacement camera.

Stopped working, replacement unit coming
Parent unit won’t connect to camera. App won’t connect to camera. Worked perfectly and then just suddenly stopped one day. Tried calling support three times, each time was told I was being transferred to another department but the call was ended. Loved this monitor until it stopped working and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone for support or replacement.Edit: I was able to get through via email and a replacement unit is on the way. Definitely recommend emailing support rather than calling.

Worth it
Been using for 9 months. Overall excellent, no failures of any kind. Color indicator is a small bar on screen instead of LED on the side like previous models, I preferred the LED but that minor. Battery is starting to fade a little, as expected with something that gets used every day. WiFi, speaker, camera, viewer functions all excellent. Would buy again.

Overall decent but loses connection every night and wakes you up with an alarm because of it
Pros:-This monitor has a nice big screen with decent picture quality; goes blurry the odd time but pretty clear for the most part.-You can turn off the screen so it’s just sound until you hear a noise which I like to use during the night.-You can change the brightness on the screen.-There are sounds you can use on the monitor for the baby, although there is only one setting or how loud and it’s pretty quiet for the baby’s end and you can hear it quite well on the monitors end.-It is clear enough that you can see little movements.Cons:-** As other reviews stated, this monitor loses connection to the screen monitor frequently. I am in the room directly beside the monitor and it will still lose connection about once per night, waking you up with a blasting beep that startles you out of sleep. This is by far the biggest downfall that is having me consider returning it. I do really like this monitor aside from this issue.-There is a bit of a delay(by a few seconds) which doesn’t really make a difference but is a bit annoying if you can actually hear the baby through the wall as well as on the monitor.-The battery life is definitely not as long as it claims if it not plugged in, but isn’t an issue because it lasts for naps and then I just plus the monitor in beside the bed for overnights.

Me parece un excelente producto. Es nítida la imagen y el sonido es claro. Lo mejor es que desde donde esté (mi oficina) puedo ver a través del celular a mi bebé mientras está en casa. La única debilidad es la batería, pero nada extraordinario, se puede mantener conectado, y cuando realmente sea necesario desconectarlo. Gran producto.

We’ve been using the VTech Baby Monitor Camera for a few years now, and overall, we’re really happy with it. The setup was very straightforward—just plug in the camera, pair it with the monitor, and it was ready to go. The video quality is clear enough during both day and night thanks to the automatic infrared night vision. Good picture and sound quality. The screen is bright and shows a clear image of the nursery. Two-way talk lets us soothe our baby without entering the room.

Works as expected with one missing feature.. the camera unit always has to be plugged in with charger .. and doesn’t have a battery backup so cannot be placed anywhere.

We bought this a year ago for £69. It’s now more than double!! I would not recommend this product even for £69, the picture quality/quality of the screen has completely deteriorated, the sound is okay but the connection to either the monitor or the app is very hit and miss, and only deteriorates over time as the aerial slowly breaks

Great monitor
The battery life on the monitor sucks but both the camera and monitor have cords so I leave them plugged in and use the app on my phone to remotely watch I love how you can zoom in x5 more on the phone app than the actual monitor and Pam the camera around I use this for my dogs when I put them in their crates or I leave them alone it has great 1080p daytime and clear night mode I can see everything that’s going on sound isn’t the greatest I find the camera has to be pointing at the sound or it won’t pick it up clearly (but cry’s it will get) the speakers on the monitor are not the loudest also there is a few second time delay between picture and audio other than that it’s an amazing unit like I mentioned I use it to check on my dogs while I’m out I can see their temp do I know they aren’t overheating and make sure they are okay (the other day this came in handy as I was 2 hours away and I saw one of the dogs got out of their crate and started vomiting the other started peeing and freaking out so I was able to get a friend over and thanked them out)I’d strongly recommend this for anyone who needs to keep an eye on something you have the ability to add more cameras to the app as well
