Good features, battery is not good.
While there are many features of this that I do love, like the night light feature and phone app, we will not buy another leapfrog baby monitor.This monitor has only been in use since July 2024. Not even on year. And they battery does not last longer than a 2 hour nap now. I reached out to LeapFrog directly and they stated that there is not battery replacement available, and that because we purchased in April 2024, there is no more warranty. I’m a bit disappointed that they didn’t even so much as offer a discount coupon for a new monitorIt seems that as soon as the warranty was over, the monitor decided it didn’t need to hold a charge anymore, even though it has only been used for 10 months.. we are extremely disappointed by this as leapfrog used to make such good quality monitors-hence why we chose them over the other thousands on the market.I would not recommend this monitor. I think it’s also important to note that this monitor has not been mishandled, it doesn’t get left on between naps, has not gotten wet, and it has not been dropped either. Infact, it was barely used from june-august.

This is the most amazing baby monitor I have ever had!
I just set it up today so I cannot give a review for battery life or night vision yet. But, the picture quality and range of this is amazing. I live on a farm and went walking with the handheld and I didn’t find the end of range. I was to worried to go any further in case baby woke up. I need to test it out when she is with me. The other ones I have had would not work across the yard inside our shop. This one I went way beyond and not one glitch or effect to the image quality. I was so excited I had to write a review before I even tested it fully!

L’image est wow. Le son aussi. Mais la batterie de la manette ne tiens pas très longtemps malheureusement meme si sa fais seulement 5 jours que je l’utilise

Price of this item doesn’t seem worth it :(
I love the size of the screen but that’s about it sadly…I would’ve figured for the cost of it, it would’ve been able to turn the camera from side to side or up and down but No you can’t at all on the Parent unit. And also if you zoom in you can’t move the camera for better view. Also I can’t ever tell if the volume is on or not because until something is making noise you don’t notice if the volume is on…it’s to silentAnd my absolute biggest disappointment is with so far every baby monitor is When you put the Parent Unit on multiple screen to switch back and forth and the camera hears a sound or a motion is detected you think right then the camera would hurry and switch it over to that room right ? NO IT DOESN’T YOU GOTTA WAIT FOR IT OR DO IT MANUALLYBig pain in the butt I’d say and all in my personal opinion

Great quality monitor
Amazing night vision. Easy to set up and work. Love the ability to use the app as a handset and control the night light feature and take photos. Battery life on the handset seems to last a while and the distance between handset and monitor seems to be decent (can have the handset in the basement and the monitor on the top level and not have connection issues).My only complaint is how easily the monitors screen scratches! It’s been a few months and it’s filled with little scratches everywhere.

Viewer broke after 2 months of sitting on table
I purchased this baby monitor in January, started using it at the beginning of February. The camera mounted in our nursery and the head unit on the side table in the livingroom. The day after my Amazon return window closes, I turn on the viewer unit and the speaker loudly crackles nonstop (even before connecting to the camera). The viewer isn’t usable anymore.This camera is a VTech unit that is branded as a leapfrog device, so I reached out to VTech to see about making a warranty claim (since I was nearing the closing of the 3 month warranty window). Their customer support line is incredibly automated and I couldn’t figure out how to get a person on the phone. Every option I went through lead to a prerecorded message and the automated system hanging up on me. I contacted them through their support email and have received back several emails but they were all blank in the body.From the automated phone system I’ve learned that I need to pay registered mail to ship off my defective device to their warranty address and it would be 30 days after they receive the defective unit before they’d mail me a replacement. I rely on this device to monitor my child when I can’t be in the same room as them. 30+ days is a long time to go without this system.Thus, I’d recommend buyer beware. If your unit is defective (as mine is) you’ll be commiting to waiting several months of your baby’s life before getting a replacement. Months were you’d want to have the system functional in your home.

Pretty good as first impression
Bought because we have a second baby coming.Will see how it holds up but it seems good so far.Update: 2025. Absolutely terrible. Night vision degrades over time and within 6 months continuously disconnects 2 rooms over. Direct connect mode straight up just doesnt work and only works through router. Tried also without mesh wifi system and still terrible issues. No concrete walls or other wifi issues.Do not buy this.
