Get What You Pay For
First, a brief but important backstory: this is our 3rd baby monitor (first with ieGeek - the other 2 died, more below) and perhaps the 6th or 7th of different types we've tried. For the past 2 years, we have purchased 2 cheaper models that had excellent quality with day and night vision (don't you wish companies would be/DO HONEST things?); however, the long term quality of the product is not there, as both models broke just before a year. The first maker's product mysteriously could not be found and contacting support said they did not make the model anymore. Hmm...ok? It was...an uphill battle getting a partial refund but some sleuthing here led me to find a literal carbon copy of the exact same model under a different name. Low and behold, when I turned it on, that second model worked perfectly fine with the first camera. That is one way of getting around warranties and shady practices!I have come to (re)realize that most of the time, you get what you pay for. This product has a 2 year warranty and is meets Canadian FCC standards for radiation (think about that! I didn't at the time and regret it now) and interference. If only this model were available two years ago, I might still be using it.My wife likes this model and we will stick with it for hopefully, many years to come.Onto the pros:- image is fairly clear and sharp with 3x zoom (and in the dark).- cute camera shell- plug and play (monitor had enough charge to get going and connected quickly to the camera without any extra input). Took under a minute to start and connect.- speaking of which, the camera and monitor start up pretty fast (at least, compared to other models).- takes an SD card for recording images and video (a standard, but handy feature).- has an app you can use (we haven't bothered with it but could be handy for one wanting that feature).- Monitor feels light and with decent quality.- power cables plug into USB transformers, so you could also plug the power cable/camera cable into a computer, power bank, USB socket (again, standard but good feature).- no issues with signal strength yet (feed has not cut out at times, like our other model). I will test this out in time.- if you accidentally hit the power button, it will ask you if you want to shut down. A handy feature if done by mistake.- voice quality seems really good (compared to the other models I had).- also easy to register for the extended warrantyCons:- Honestly, not many! The image seems a bit fuzzy with movement but with a 2K display and a signal being transmitted through walls, I can live with that (more concerned with seeing how my kid is sleeping and if my kid is okay).Glad we spent a bit more to get something with better quality/safer/better warranty.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PRODUCT AND PRICE!!
This baby monitor is amazing!! The set-up process was quick and easy (literally just plug in and it is connected and ready to go!), and setting up the app (you can have multiple accounts view the same camera simultaneously) was seamless!I originally purchased the Owlet ($300 CAD) given it's reviews and name brand. I wanted the best for my baby and I thought paying more meant getting a quality product - I was so wrong. It was the absolute WORST baby camera ever.. it constantly disconnected and was completely unreliable. I decided I needed a more reliable camera so I bought this one. It's absolutely amazing and I cant rave about it more! I am very happy with the video quality, the consistent stream, the fact that it removes background noise (we play white noise for the baby when she sleeps), and easy UI.This camera has amazing video quality during both daytime and nighttime. It is literally the same quality as the name brand Owlet baby monitor. The stream is consistent and unwavering, and so far I haven't had it fail once. It has a physical monitor that is not connected to Wi-Fi so you can feel confident it won't fail short of a power outage, and you can take it anywhere in the house with you! The app is also fantastic and easy to use. After purchasing the terrible Owlet camera for more than twice the cost, I made sure to do a lot of due diligence in purchasing my new camera and this one has great reviews so I was confident in the purchase. I was not disappointed. I really can't explain how much peace of mind it has given me for my baby and the customer service is supreme!!! They have been very responsive so far to my emails and very polite. The Owlet brand name camera, on the other hand, has the worst customer service and literally told me their faulty camera was my problem. This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it!

fantastic 2K baby monitor
We did extensive research when looking for a baby monitor. We had read about all the exclusive and more marketed brands and were initially going to go with one of those before stumbling upon this one. We were looking for one without WIFI, as we were concerned with security, and to our surprise, this one has both. You can activate WIFI for use with an iPhone app when you choose to, or just leave it off—that's perfect! The monitor's menus are super simple and clean to understand (see image). The lullaby sounds are just right—not too robotic—and the camera itself is great. There is an ever-so-slight lag, but that is fully acceptable. After all, it's a baby monitor and not a $2000 security camera. I appreciate that a cord powers the monitor itself, so there is no need to recharge the camera part - I can imagine recharging would get annoying over time - I understand that might not be for everyone but I like this feature. The camera can even track motion if it detects a person moving around, it will do its best to follow the motion - probably not a needed feature for stationary monitoring, but I can imagine it becoming useful later. The first impression is very good, and the customer service has been excellent. They even give you an extended warranty if you register your device (2 years). The price point for this unit is excellent for what you're getting in return. I'm very glad we went with this monitor.

The setup worked perfectly until the monitor broke down couple of weeks ago. I have tried to contact the seller in various occasions but is not responding back with answers with warranty claims. Isn’t amazon supposed to make them get back in 48 hrs with a resolution. Thank you
