    Not impressed
Once I used it for my baby’s swing. It shorted out and the swing was useless.

Rubbish AC/DC adapter, 5W (5V/1A) only, does NOT work as expected, NO safety certifications
Well, there isn’t much to say about this AC/DC adapter except it appears to be reasonably well-constructed without any visible defects although it does weigh a lot litter lighter than most others with similar spec (5V/2A). Unfortunately, it does NOT work as expected because it’s ONLY capable of providing 5W (5V/1A) instead of 10W (5V/2A) advertised. As such, this is useless for my needs. Btw, it has a typical 5.5×2.1mm DC/barrel connector for those who are interested. It also does NOT have any safety certification so if this is a concern for you, look elsewhere.≡ Safety note (from official gov sites)✔ Electrical products that plug into an electrical outlet must meet Canadian national safety standards and be certified by an accredited certification body.✔ Always check for certification marks, such as CSA, cUL, or cETL, before purchasing electrical products that plug into an electrical outlet. These marks indicate that the products are assessed and conform to the required Canadian national safety standard.✔ Do not buy or use electrical products that plug into an electrical outlet without a certification mark. While some people would argue that these safety certifications means little or even nothing because there are products out there with safety cert that fail to perform while others without it have performed better in comparison. I’d say that’s fallaciously misguided simply because exceptions are never to be used as supportive arguments to statements that are inherently untrue.Do you stop using seatbelts because someone died of accidents while wearing one? Is driver’s license unnecessary because more accidents are caused by those with valid licenses than not? There are countless examples I could think of but most importantly is the undisputed fact that it is the Canadian law and it’s there to minimize harm and not necessarily eliminate it. If the idea of certifications (safety or otherwise) are truly useless, then our civilization would crumble. In either case, I’d choose and support products with any of the 3 certs mentioned above any day over products that have none. The choice is of course yours, as always.###It goes without saying that this can be used for any device requiring less than 5W at a voltage of 5V and it certainly can be used for devices having a connector that’s of difference size as long as you can get an adapter for it (and there are plenty of ’em here). I actually intend to use this adapter for an Android box with a failing/problematic adapter; however, since it’s not capable of providing 2A, this is useless to me and will be tossed because 5W (5V/1A) is simply too low to be useful at this point in time, for me at least.* The maximum current it can provide before dropping the voltage to an unusable level (1.124V) is approx. 1.056A.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a rubbish AC/DC adapter for me because it’s only capable of 5W when it advertises to be capable of 5V/2A (10W). It also does NOT have any safety certification and it’s noticeably light than others with similar spec. It’s pricey at $19 for what it doesn’t’ provide for me. There are many other options and/or alternatives out there with the same spec (some with either UL or ETL safety certification) at about half the dough if you care to shop around. Your mileage might vary.

    Good quality cord

  5. Josue

This is a great replacement cord, it fit perfectly and has kept the swing working well.

  6. NAG007

I bought a Graco Simple Swing at a garage sale that didn’t include the power plug. I decided to get a replacement power plug instead of using 4 D batteries to run the unit. Upon use, this plug appears to be mostly good. The two concerning issues are that the plug doesn’t have any sort of safety certifications and the cord boot coming out of the plug seems weak. The wire going into the boot is very flexible. Too flexible. It seems like it will crack and expose the wire underneath. If plug is never moved, this might not be an issue. Just a warning if you plan on plugging and unplugging the unit a lot.
