****** REVISED UPDATED POST: Posted on September 21, 2021 ******Well looks like I jumped the gun on this one, and would like to give credit where credit is due. Looks like I also underestimated the kids capacity to learn and figure things out on their own, I learned a few new things from them today about the toy and some cool new features:- COOL SLIDE FEATURE: the little roll-y dolphins (with wheels on the bottom) roll down the slide and as they reach a “fork-in-the-road” they can be directed into either the pond or to the end of the slide where a hidden magnet from behind the wall lifts them back up to the top of the slide to repeat the same cycle. See the video in the photo gallery.- Although magnets would still be easier for young toddlers, the fishing poles with three-pronged hook ends can still be used to make a catch of fish(es) with a little skill and focus. Older kids tend to pick up on it quicker, for younger ones it may be a little challenging, but hey, that’s why it’s a kids game and I’m sure it helps develop their motor skills anyway.- The music isn’t as loud and intrusive as I remember it, and it actually shuts off so you (or your child) don’t get a headache from the endless repetition.- Sometimes with too many fishes in the pond it looks busy – so just take some out if you feel that way ; )- The instructions I still feel were a tad incomplete and needs improvement, but it’s forgivable. Kids were able to figure it out.All-in-all I seriously underestimated the product and the kids resourcefulness in figuring it out. Revised my rating from 3 stars to a full 5 stars for all the cool features you don’t normally see in a kids fishing game and at the price point you’re getting it for. More accurately I would rate it 4.5 stars – I would MAYBE dock half a star for difficulty of (fish) catch for much younger kids (target market?) and lack of clear instructions. But really no biggie at this point, sometimes a little challenge is also fun.Once again, the USB cable (or Battery) feature is a good bonus for continuous game play.##### PREVIOUS/OUTDATED POST: posted on September 20, 2021 #####This Fishing game toy came nicely packaged and the overall quality of the toy is reasonably well made relative to the price tag. All the parts and build quality are typical to what you would expect from a reputable kids toy.This toy can be powered via included usb cable (wall plug adapter with usb port/insert not included) or typical battery. Has three settings/modes with easy to access on/off switch.However there were a few drawbacks:- The instructions were inadequate and required a lot of guess work to assemble. Thankfully it wasn’t too difficult to assemble when looking at the blown up image (of the assembled toy) on the box.- The fishes circle the pond on their own via magnetic motor, but it seems a little clumsy and a bit busy at times if there are too many fishes in the pond. See video.- When changing the settings/mode it’s not easy to distinguish between the different modes since the music is over powering and the transitions aren’t clear.- Most importantly the fishing poles don’t seem to have magnetic clasps to catch the fish, rather it has plastic hooks and your kid is expected to catch the small opening of the fish’s mouth. Even for an adult this can be challenging. It would have been nice if it was a magnetized catch although understandably it’d be difficult from a build/design perspective since the fishes already move along via magnets already installed on their bellies (interference?)Overall, my 2 year daughter still enjoys the toy, she has an obsession with “fishies” and enjoys watching them circle the pond with the fun kids music playing in the background. The slide is also a key feature since the dolphins(?) (not the small fish) can roll down, and what kid doesn’t like a fun slide? Still entertaining for the kids, but would’ve been nice if the fishing poles were easier to use when catching fish.

Super Fun & Very Unique!
This Fishing Game is very fun and my daughter just loves playing with it (as do I)! There are magnets that move around the little fish in the “pond” so they can be caught with the included fishing rods or nets. There is also a track that the 3 dolphins can slide down and then be brought back up to the top with the magnets for continuous fun. The track can also be diverted if you wish to have the dolphins go into the pond and swim with the fish.It plays a little melody when the unit is turned on but there are also buttons on the front that play 16 sounds (mostly animals and vehicle sounds), 10 melodies, 3 songs and 3 stories. It can be a bit difficult to hear the sounds and stories over the magnetic fish moving around but my daughter loves it anyways.It comes with 2 rod bases with 4 interchangeable ends (2 fishing poles and 2 nets) that can be switched out depending on the level of difficulty or the age of the player. The nets are much easier while the rods are slightly more difficult as you have to line up the hooks with the mouths of the fish.While the instructions aren’t the greatest, the assembly is fairly easy and takes less than 5 minutes to put together. You just have to connect the track pieces, add a little palm tree and stick on a few stickers. I also like that it can be powered with both a power adapter or batteries (3 AA’s – not included).The only complaints I have are that I wish the power cable was longer and that it came with 2 extra rod bases so I didn’t have to switch out the nets and the fish poles. The rods, nets and poles aren’t the most durable or the highest quality so they will probably end up breaking one day while trying to switch them out. Also, non-slip pads would have been appreciated but I chose to add some that I got from the dollarstore.Overall, I am very happy with this very cute and unique toy and I think it would make a great gift for children 3 and up. Highly recommend!

Terrible
Worked well for one minute. Then the magnets and song crapped out and wouldn’t move or sing. Not happy, as most reviews were great! It was easy to build. Son was unhappy.

My grandsons enjoyed this toy for sure, but it works much better with no water. My older grandson thought we needed water, but I didn’t know how the stickers would hold up with the water soaking them. We tried it both ways, and the water caused the dolphins to get stuck on the slide. Without the water, they just went sliding through. They have great fun every time they play with the fishing game. =)

Bought this for a 3 yr old. It took some practice but once he got the hang of it he loved it. To our surprise his 7 yr old brother enjoyed it too. The swimming fish present a fun challenge and the additional swimming fish on the back wall are a very cute addition. Toy is well made and of sturdy plastic.

Right out of the box the magnetic function did not work, none of the fish swim or move when the toy is on.

My toddler loved this for her christmas toy it does a bunch of chinese songs though and the magenta get stuck sometimes but she’s entertained by it and its easy for her to put together when we travel. I have not tried adding water in it

That was a hit for the kid!!
That’s so magic when the fish move and go up.But I recommend open the gift and set thing up add battery put back on the box before giving to kid. Thats a little bit long to install so with them you want to be ready to play !!
