Don’t buy this
These are hard plastic. When you put them in water they are supposed to swim around. Each of mine lasted from 0 to about 15 minutes. Cat got bored in 5 minutes because most times they headed against the edge of the water container and didn’t go anywhere. They are noisy. When the battery runs out, which is almost immediately, you take out the old (2 tiny) batteries and put in 2 new ones with the provided small screwdriver. Each fish. comes with its own 2 extra batteries and little screwdriver. What a waste of with battery materials and plastic. My daughter got some rubber little fish from the dollar store that don’t move and don’t have batteries ( a child’s bath toy) and her cat watches them for hours. Save your money and think of the environment.

Plan on purchasing a ton of batteries.
We opened the package and even though these are suppose to be activated by water some we’re going off already. It states to ensure the fish screw are tightened so water doesn’t get in and we did.My son put them in the tub and they were great fun. However we removed them, dried them off and they wouldn’t shut off. Then later they wouldn’t work at all and I could see water got inside of every single one of them. Only two worked. We replaced the batteries and dried them all out with a blow dryer. Round 2 again ensuring they are tight. They leak and water gets in them no matter what you do. I’m now listening to 5 fish on my counter that are essentially going to run the battery out. So unless you’re prepared to remove the battery every single time and blow dry them don’t waste your time. Definitely fun but not worth the cost.

Not waterproof- rusted batteries
Was so excited to get these fish for my baby. They were amazing for about a week. Then one by one, the fish no longer would swim around. I assumed that the batteries died (they sometimes keep moving when out of the water and drying) so I went to change them today, and the batteries are all rusted! Out of 5 fish, only 1 isn’t rusted out! The batteries came in the fish already so the battery opening was never tampered with. Not impressed and definitely don’t recommend this toy for a week of play. Go get the swimming turtles, they still swim and are actually waterproof.

Fun cat toy
Got this for my cat to play with. Figured I’d use the bathtub but just to see if she would even try it I started with a large bowl in the kitchen and she played with it for almost an hour, lol

They suck
Started out cool. Look decent. Kind swam-ish…for 20 minutes. They slowly died until they just flashed lights. Next day batteries were rusting even though I opened them up to dry the batteries. Not worth it, looking for a better option, going to spend a bit more next time.

Terrible purchase! Some of these did not work from the start. They were purchased for our Maine Coon to hopefully become more comfortable with water and they were just horrible. Some did work for a bit but none of them lasted more than a week before breaking and becoming unusable. Just junk that was sent back. Such a shame because I would be willing to pay for a quality built one that actually worked, my cat was very interested in them for the short time they worked.

We love watching the little fish swim around our bowl. We originally got this to entertain our cat while our grand puppy was visiting. Come to find out, our 2 dogs and the grand puppy enjoy l watching the fish and our cat loves skippity patting the fish along with sneaking some sips of water! Great product, great price. We give the fish a rest outside of water when they stop swimming.The LED lights are bright and attractive to the pets. Our babies love laser lights, so this was a great way to get them interested.Great waterproofing. So far, we haven’t had any issues with the longevity of the fish being in water. They take breaks but a light push or dunk gets them swimming again.This product is great for all ages and enjoyed by kids. We are thinking of adding a tank for them on our indoor plant porch to give the effect of fish without the work.They are easy to use and work great with the robotic fish tanks or any bowl with water. I plan to use a couple in my outdoor solar fountains for the neighbors to enjoy on their walks any time of day or night!
